As the CEO of Corporate Diversity Pathways (CDP), Jeromine brings over 25 years of experience and a steadfast commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). Her pioneering work in the DEI field ensures that organisations benefit from expertly guided strategies to build inclusive workplaces where every individual can thrive.

Jeromine’s career began in banking and transitioned into entrepreneurship when she founded Bureau Consulting Group at 26. The firm gained acclaim for its innovative 6-Step Talent Management Strategy, which aligned talent with corporate goals to drive growth, increase revenue, and enhance profitability—benefits that will directly impact an organisation’s success.

Since rebranding in 2018, Jeromine has led CDP with a focus on delivering evidence-based solutions that combine global research with tailored strategies. CDP’s integrated approach includes consultancy across DEI-led talent strategies, executive search, recruitment and selection, workplace gender equality, Indigenous career pathways, leadership development, and cultural change initiatives.

Josephine Palermo

Principal DEI

Josephine Palermo is a leading advocate for gender equality and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in the workplace. With a PhD in Organisational Psychology and extensive publications on the psychology of gender, change management, and organisational development, she brings a deep understanding of organisational dynamics to her work.

As the former General Manager of Strategic Change Enablement at Telstra, Josephine spearheaded the DEI program for Telstra Operations, implementing gender quotas for the first time across seven divisions and driving a significant uplift in women in STEM roles, including a 30% increase in women within the apprenticeship pool. Her approach combined engaging executives on a personal level to secure commitment and working with divisional leaders to improve recruitment processes and organisational culture, achieving sustained improvements in diversity.

Since leaving Telstra, Josephine has continued to champion DEI as a consultant, executive coach, and mentor, working with organisations across sectors to foster inclusive cultures and unlock potential in their people, processes, and systems. She has led impactful change initiatives, from agile transformations to structural team changes, in organisations including NAB, AIA, Coles, Mattel, GLOBE Victoria, Victorian State Departments, various local government, and Orica Manufacturing globally. As the Partner of 6 Team Conditions Australia, and Founder of Melbourne Bellydance, Josephine also explores the intersection of work and personal identity, encouraging people to bring their whole selves to work. Her best-selling book, “Rising to Feminine Power,” and her podcast, “Gears, Action, Growth,” further reflect her commitment to reshaping leadership and workplace culture through a DEI lens.

Julie Cockerill is a strategic People & Culture leader with deep expertise in workplace inclusion, leadership development, and organisational transformation.

She brings a nuanced understanding of the legal frameworks shaping respectful, psychologically safe workplaces, helping organisations translate compliance into meaningful, lasting culture change.

With a career spanning global HR leadership, culture revitalisation, and workforce capability-building, Julie has worked with leading organisations, including Unisys, Booz & Co, Merrill Lynch, and Starwood Group, across Asia Pacific, the UK, and Europe. She has led large-scale cultural and structural transformations, successfully navigating startups, mergers, and significant change initiatives while embedding inclusive, high-trust workplace practices.

A highly experienced facilitator and trainer, Julie specialises in bringing complex workplace challenges to life in an engaging, psychologically safe, and empathetic manner. She designs and delivers practical, action-oriented programs that empower leaders and employees to create respectful, diverse, and neuro-inclusive workplaces. Her expertise in neuroscience, emotional intelligence, and psychological safety enables her to address behavioural change deeply, ensuring training goes beyond compliance to shape authentic leadership and workplace culture shifts.

Julie’s leadership in People & Culture has driven high performance, inclusion, and employee wellbeing, including a pivotal role in Australia’s most successful IPOs while leading HR for Veda (now Equifax). Today, she focuses on executive leadership coaching, workplace capability-building, and culture transformation, working with organisations to embed neuro-inclusive, high-trust environments where all employees can thrive, feel valued, and contribute at their best.

Shannon Thorne

Principal Consultant - Aboriginal Advisory

Shannon is a proud Kamilaroi and Wiradjuri man, deeply connected to his culture, community, and the teachings passed down through his family. Guided by the strong values instilled by his parents, Shannon carries forward a legacy of care, responsibility, and community leadership. He was honoured to serve as the first-ever NSW Aboriginal Advocate for Children and Young People, a role that allowed him to bring Aboriginal voices to the forefront and ensure the needs, rights, and aspirations of children and young people were not only heard but acted upon.

Shannon has held many senior management and leadership positions, with over 20 years of experience across the social sector and in government. His approach is grounded in Aboriginal ways of knowing, being, and doing, ensuring that solutions are culturally safe, responsive, and community-led.

Shannon is a listener and advocate, committed to elevating the Aboriginal voices across the country. His passion, professional expertise, and cultural insight equip him to create strong, sustainable outcomes that uphold the rights and wellbeing of his people.

Jane Burns

Jane Burns

Principal - Workplace Wellbeing Enterprise Professor

Jane Burns is a distinguished C-Suite Executive with over 20 years of experience across the NGO, industry, government, and university sectors. She is a leading international expert in mental health and wellbeing, suicide prevention, digital transformation, and integrated models of workforce wellbeing.

Jane’s work is deeply rooted in co-design, and she has championed the inclusion of people with lived experiences in strategic planning throughout her career.

Her notable leadership roles include serving as an Executive at beyondblue: the national depression initiative, the Inspire Foundation, the Young and Well Cooperative Research Centre, Safer Care Victoria and for the last four years as Acting CEO for the Well and Productive CRC. Jane is dedicated to integrating the voices of individuals with lived experiences into the core strategies of these organisations. Jane was Chair of Open Arms – the Veterans Families Counselling Service and served on the Board of the National Disability Insurance Agency.

Jane is a sought-after international keynote speaker and has authored over 100 papers and policy reports.

She has received numerous accolades, including the 2015 Australian Financial Review Social Enterprise Award, recognition as one of the Westpac Group 100 Women of Influence, and was a Victorian Finalist at the Telstra Business Women’s Awards in 2012 and 2017.

At CDP, Jane delivers impactful work in mental health, resilience and wellbeing as well as creating First Nations, CALD and disability career pathways.

Outside her professional life, Jane is a devoted mother to three children—Angus, Holly, and Harry. Her son Angus lives with Down syndrome, Autism, and is non-verbal, which has further fuelled her commitment to inclusive and empathetic care.

Ben Holgate

Ben Holgate FFIA is a strategic fundraising and philanthropy leader with over 30 years of experience across the commercial and not-for-profit sectors in Australia, London, and Dubai. 

He has a strong track record in designing sustainable fundraising campaigns aligned with organisational goals.

Known for his strategic vision and sector insight, Ben develops innovative approaches that diversify income and engage new audiences. His strengths in stakeholder engagement and collaboration help build trusted relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners.

Ben works closely with boards and executive teams to foster a high-performance, accountable culture rooted in ethical and transparent fundraising. Also a practising artist, he brings creativity and a fresh perspective to leadership and problem-solving.

Katrina Dowling

Associate Director

Katrina is a seasoned marketing and general management leader with 25+ years across commercial and for-purpose sectors. As non-executive Associate Director at CDP, she brings strategic clarity, brand insight and emotionally intelligent leadership to our growth.

Her career spans pivotal roles with Ansett Australia and Virgin Blue, founding the brand consultancy brand brilliance, and senior executive posts in the for-purpose sector, including the National Heart Foundation, WIMR Foundation (CEO) and the St Vincent’s Curran Foundation. She holds a BComm (Economics) from the University of Melbourne and a BBus (Marketing) from RMIT.

Collaborative and values-driven, Katrina is known for her resilience, curiosity and focus on measurable impact. Away from work, she loves running, skiing, travel and photography—and is a proud mum of two young men.

Jeremy Alpe

Jeremy is a successful entrepreneur, property developer and investor with a track record of building, scaling and backing ventures across the UK and Australia.

As Chairman of CDP, he brings commercial judgement to strategy, governance and growth, combining business acumen with disciplined risk management, capital allocation and stakeholder engagement.

Instrumental in the ASX listing of Bureau Consulting Group, the company that later rebranded to Corporate Diversity Pathways, Jeremy helped shape CDP’s capital strategy and public-market readiness, laying foundations for long-term growth and impact.

Jeremy has led and exited global services businesses and has built, scaled and exited multiple small-to-medium enterprises, both listed and unlisted, alongside a diversified investment portfolio spanning real assets, private markets and listed investments.

Over his career, Jeremy has founded and exited global small–medium enterprises, led mixed-use and residential developments from site acquisition through delivery, and built a diversified investment portfolio spanning real estate and private businesses. His pragmatic, people-first approach fosters high-trust partnerships and measurable results.
